The Azores Rally is considered by many to be the most spectacular rally stage on the ERC. Being run for more than 50 years, the rally takes place in the island of Sao Miguel, where narrow stages are often not wider than the width of a car. For the drivers, this means having to take care with their speed and lines as there is simply no margin for error.
Juan Carlos Alonso ran a RMC Motorsport Mitsubishi Evo X, equipped with BRAID’s Fullrace A 8x18”, to finish first in its class. The Argentinian clinched top of his class after controlling most of the mid-Atlantic rally.
