BRAID Wheels was proud to support The Empire Hill Climb Revival in it's 5th year since being resurrected in 2014. This year's field put on a show that didn't disappoint.
Spectators cheered on cars from 5 classes and drivers from across the country. The field was made up of cars typically raced in rally, vintage/historic racing, drifting, time attack and of course we had a few hardcore hill climb competitors challenge the hill.
The 2018 Pike's Peak class champion Acura TLX-GT piloted by Peter Cunningham stole the show in the exhibition class with a record breaking 18.5 second time up the 1/2 mile course.
The 2017 winner Dan Milewski successfully defended his overall winning title with a 20.9 second time in his 2002 Corvette.

One of our favorite cars of the weekend was Adam Pickworth's black 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190E 16V. Adam's 190E was running BRAID Fullrace wheels in white. Adam's 2nd run was the best in the vintage class. He took first place with a 22.4 second run up Wilco road.
The Empire Hill Climb continues to grow in popularity. We're already looking forward to the 2019 event and can't wait to see who comes to beat Peter's record.
